SWABI: Unidentified assailants shot dead an Afghan refugee residing in Gohati refugee camp here on Tuesday.

Registering an FIR with the Swabi city police station, Kago Khan told the police that his son Ali Khan was on way home in a car when two motorcyclists shot him dead at the Badri bridge here.

The police registered a case against unidentified assailants and have started investigations.

Meanwhile, prisoners of Swabi judicial lockup expressed concern over the lawyers’ boycott of courts.

In a statement, they said that if the lawyers failed to resume their work they would observe a hunger strike against their protest and boycott of the courts.

They urged the lawyers to end their strike as it was delaying proceedings on their cases.
