RAWALPINDI: A man was killed while two others sustained bullet injuries in a clash between two rival groups near Chakri village on Wednesday night, police said.

Two of the injured, Faisal Ameer and Habib Khan, who was mediating between the two groups, were shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital.

Habib Khan died before reaching the hospital. The other injured, belonging to the rival group sustained minor injuries.

Police said Habib Khan was mediating between the two parties when he came under fire and lost his life.

When contacted, the SP Saddar Mazhar Iqbal said the clash was between two groups who are close relatives.

The SP said the police had been sent to the crime scene who shifted the injured to hospital.

Police raids were underway to arrest the people involved in the clash.

Separately, a motorcyclist was killed after being hit by a train near Raheemabad on Wednesday when he was crossing the railway track.
