ISLAMABAD: Punjab’s unseeded cueist Shahzaib Mailk exhibited brilliant performance on Sunday here at Sports Complex’s snooker hall in both of his Jubilee Insurance National Raking U-21 championship matches on Sunday.

Malik stunned Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s champion and fifth seed Mohammad Saleem, outclassing him in a four-frame match 3-1 (66-43, 48-61, 66-45, 65-35). In his second match, Malik with the help of 72 and 65 breaks, tamed Abdul Waheed of Sindh in straight three frames 3-0 (66-16, 72-08(72), 70-16 (65).

However, Punjab’s Mohammad Ahmed scored a break of 85 against Zulfiqar Ali of Balochistan, defeating him in straight three frames 3-0 (69-12, 54-16, 94-7 (85).
