KARACHI: Talented Nadir Mirza and Ibrahim Sajjad beat their respective opponents in the under-12 singles while in the under-18 category, Ashar mir and Taha Aman outplayed their rivals on the opening day of the 5th McDonalds National Seniors & Juniors Tennis Cham­pionship commences here at DA Creek Club on Monday.

Taha emerged victorious in a marathon clash. After losing the first set against Asim Gul, he recovered to win the second set 7-5 and finished the match by winning the third 6-3 score . The match lasted for two hours and Taha won 5-7, 7-5, 6-3.
