Shahid misses COAS squash

ISLAMABAD, Aug 20: The pre-qualifying round of the Chief of the Air Staff International Squash Circuit began at the Mushaf Complex on Saturday. The tournament that carries a prize purse of $25,000 has attracted players from Malaysia, Egypt, Wales, England and UAE.

Pakistan’s No.1 and world No 14, Shahid Zaman has withdrawn from the tournament on medical grounds and the main draw has had to be revised with Ong Beng Hee of Malaysia seeded on top.

The main round of the championship runs from Aug 24 to 27.
