KARACHI: Two matches were played on the opening day of the SSB Cup Inter-Collegiate, Inter University and Inter-District Basketball tournament being organised by Firdaus Ittehad Social Welfare Organization in collaboration with Sindh Agriculture University Tando Jam at the SAU Sports Ground.

In the first match, SST Public School and Cadet College Rashidabad beat Sindh Agriculture University (SAU) 48-42 in a close contest. Uzair (16 points), Shaheer (12) and Rashid (8) points were the prominent scorers for the winners. In another match, Hyderabad easily beat Liaquat Medical College Jamshoro 34-26 in a one-sided game.

Aamir and Asif were the key scorers for winners who scored 12 and 10 points respectively.
