Naseem appointed focal person on shelter homes

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minis­­ter Imran Khan has appointed Naseemur Reh­man as the focal person for the government’s Panagah programme.

Mr Rehman, a retired official of the United Nations, will work under the direct supervision of the PM to carry forward the Panagah programme.

An international professional with specialisation in development and humanitarian issues, Mr Rehman brings a wealth of leadership skills and management expertise to the position. As chief executive officer of the Imran Khan Foundation (IKF), he played a ­pivotal role in strengthening its organisational transformation.

Prior to his appointment at IKF, he served in Unicef for 29 years. He has experience in development and humanitarian work.

The focal person will be responsible for establishment of organisation and management framework and procedures for building sustainable partnerships with non-governmental and community-based organisations, ­private sector and bilateral and multilateral donors, said a press release.
