KHAIRPUR: ADP candidates step down

KHAIRPUR, Aug 21: Awam Dost Panel candidates for nazim and naib nazim have decided to withdraw in favour of candidates of the Khairpur Dost Panel from the UC Hingorja.

Hakim Dayo and Abdul Khaliq, the ADP candidates for nazim and naib nazim, had support of the Pakistan People’s Party.

After their withdrawal, the KDP candidates Abbas Ali and Tasleem Memon, have been elected unopposed.

They were backed by the Pakistan Muslim League (Functional).

It may be mentioned that 10 candidates of the KDP, of 76 union councils of the district, have been elected without contest.
