MINGORA: Chief Minister Mahmood Khan has said that a mega development plan has been devised for the Malakand division.

Talking to mediapersons here on Sunday, he said no compromise would be made on the rights of KP province.

“The federal government has not refused to give KP the funds under the NFC award and the province will soon receive the money,” he said, insisting that increase in prices of daily use commodities was the result of the poor policies of the previous governments.

“The PTI government will soon be able to control the inflation,” he promised, saying employments were being made in the province under a transparent mechanism.

Mahmood Khan said the special police force had been regularised and a notification to this effect would be issued within 15 days.

“For the development and prosperity of Malakand division huge funds have already been released. The establishment of a 500-bed hospital, construction of roads to Malam Jabba and Kalam, construction of the expressway and many other development projects go to the credit of PTI,” he said.

He said that land was being acquired for setting up a small industrial zone in Swat. He promised to resolve the water shortage issue in Mingora.
