Sargodha scheme

Published February 12, 2020

THE Model Town housing scheme, Sargodha, spreading over an area of 410 acres, was initiated by Sargodha Improvement Trust (SIT) in 1991.

Despite the passage of almost 30 long years, more than 3,000 allottees, who paid the cost of land and development charges, have not been given their lands.

Now the recently established Sargodha Development Authority has taken the rein of this dormant, neglected and underdeveloped society. Nobody knows how many decades SDA will now take to hand over the plots of land to allottees, who have been waiting for the last 30 years.

The SDA should revive/reinitiate this non-functional/dormant residential housing scheme.
