He said 389 examination centres had been set up including 70 in Rawalpindi and 103 all over the district. As many as 62 centres have been established in Jhelum, 84 in Chakwal and 70 in Attock.

Mr Cheema said foolproof arrangements, including security, had been made for the smooth holding of the exams, adding that the board had also formed special teams which will conduct surprise visits of examination centres.

“Mobile phones of the examination staff will be strictly monitored. Textbooks, test papers, calculators and other items which can be helpful in the exam will not be allowed in the examination halls,” he said.

The BISE spokesman said the board’s chairman, Dr Ghulam Dastagir, reviewed the arrangements in a meeting which was attended by Board Secretary Dr Tanveer Zafar, Controller Examination Malik Mohsin Abbas and other officials.
