Lahore Qalandars set 139-run target for Multan Sultans in PSL 5 match

Lahore Qalandars have set a 139-run target for Multan Sultans to chase in their 2020 Pakistan Super League encounter at the Gaddafi Stadium.

Playing on home turf, the Qalandars finished with a score of 138-8 at the end of their allotted 20 overs.

After being sent in to bat, Qalandars started their batting on a strong note, and were 53-0 at the end of five overs.

However, both Chris Lynn (39 off 19) and Fakhar Zaman (19 off 14) were dismissed by Moeen Ali in the sixth over in a span of three balls, the former caught by Shan Masood and the latter by Khushdil Shah.

Ben Dunk was the next batsman to go, getting run out at 7.1 overs.

Mohammad Hafeez was caught in the 12th over by Masood off Imran Tahir, who also bowled out Dane Vilas.

Muhammad Ilyas took the wickets of David Wiese and Haris Rauf while Shaheen Shah Afridi was caught by Sohail Tanvir on his own ball.

Multan Sultans earlier won the toss and elected to bowl first in the third fixture of PSL 2020 against Qalandars.

This is the first match of PSL 5 that is being played in Lahore.
