LAHORE: Hundreds of students of the Punjab Daanish Schools system from sessions of 2018-19 have secured admissions, on open merit, in notable universities of Pakistan.

Of 918 students, six got admissions in MBBS, nine in UET and two in LUMS, beside 41 others have been selected in armed forces in different cadres.

The rest have got admissions to reputed institutions including Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute Swabi, FAST, and Agriculture University, Faisalabad.

In a statement, Daanish Schools Vice Chairperson Ms. Sumaira Ahmad, also an MPA, said that selection of students on open merit in leading educational institutions spoke of standards maintained by the school system.

She said the admissions in such top level educational institutions was a matter of privilege and honor for the students who belonged to underprivileged families and had no hope of good future.

The vice chairperson said the Daanish schools systems had revolutionized the lives of these students by providing them an opportunity to study along with the bright students.
