KARACHI: Pakistan Air Force will continue to support sports such as squash, basketball and others and will promote healthy activities everywhere. This was stated by Air Marshall Mujahid Anwar Khan during his meeting with Karachi Basketball Association president Ghulam Mohammad Khan in a ceremony held at the Sargodhean Spirit Public School on Friday. School’s principal Air Commodore Nayyar Khwaja was also present on the occasion.

Air Marshall Mujahid, who has himself been a fine basketball player for the PAF, said he wants basketball to become a major sport in Pakistan and assured the KBBA chief that PAF will provide all sort of help to promote the game in Karachi as well as in other cities.

Ghulam Mohammad apprised the Air Marshall about the KBBA activities in Karachi and requested him to grace the annual basketball awards ceremony on March 23 as chief guest.

Meanwhile, the KBBA will be holding a key meeting here on Sunday (today) at the Abdul Nasir-Arambagh courts to finalise the selection committee for the upcoming national girls and boys championships this year and discuss other important issues.
