Sohbat Pur district

THE creation of Sohbat Pur district in Balochistan was ordered by former acting prime minister Hazar Khan Khosa in 2013. However, despite the passage of seven years, the district has still not become fully functional.

A few government offices have become operational and these too lack the means to resolve the issues faced by residents of the district.

Owing to this drawback, the people are compelled to visit the headquarters of Jaffarabad district.

The educational institutions of Sohbat Pur still follow archaic 19th century teaching methods. No school or college has digital facilities for teaching. Likewise healthcare facilities are almost non-existent. People have to travel to other districts to visit a hospital.

The people of the district appeal to the Balochistan government for the provision of basic facilities.
