MARDAN: Deputy commissioner Mohammad Abid Wazir has said that renovation and beautification work of Livestock Park will be completed within next two weeks.

After attending a meeting about development work, he told mediapersons that the Livestock Park would be opened to public next month. He said construction of the family park would be started in the next phase.

He said that they were taking steps for provision of recreational facilities to the residents. Later, he planted a tree at the Livestock Park under Clean and Green Pakistan drive.

FOREIGN DOCTORS: A 10-member team of foreign heart surgeons and specialists arrived in Mardan Medical Complex Hospital (MCH) on a two-week visit on Tuesday. The team members, led by Dr Juail Downing, belong to England and Italy.

MCH medical director Dr Tariq Mehmood told mediapersons that the surgeons would operate on 17 poor cardiac patients free of cost at the facility. He said the tools for operations and other related machinery had been provided to MCH by Pakistanis settled abroad.

OATH-TAKING: Markazi Tanzeem-i-Tajiran provincial general secretary Zahir Shah said here on Tuesday that business community was backbone of the country’s economy.

Speaking at the oath-taking ceremony of traders at Rustam Khaklai Market, he said that organising the business community of Rustam was the proof that it included business-minded people who believed in unity.

He asked the participants to attend convention of the traders in Takhtbhai on February 29.
