Have you ever had a friend who has been sweet and caring on the outside, but had a cruel face inside? A friend you trusted and had a great life with, and he or she suddenly left you in the middle of nowhere? And then you experience your life taking a completely new track?

Well, if your answers to the above questions are yes, then I feel sorry for you as well. This world is full of people with different personalities, everyone has different attributes, some negative and some positive. It is difficult having a friend with a beautiful heart and a pure soul. Those who find such friends in their lives are the lucky and they should cherish such companionship.

I have always desired a supportive companion who could help me, understand me and stand by me against all odds. Fortunately, I found someone so dear. She was identical to me in all her personality traits. I considered myself lucky enough to have my dream come true in terms of getting a like-minded alter ego. I had a blind trust in her. She would always hang around me, laugh with me and we shared so much with each other.

Unfortunately, a day came that I discovered that the friend I trusted is deceiving me badly. I was shattered. I sank into a deep despair. I could not believe that my life was surrounded by snakes and fakes. It was then that I realised how poisonous people could become and that they are disguised in just an outer shell of goodness.

The cruellest thing this world has taught me is that the person whom I thought the best was actually the one who turned out to be the worst for me. But I forgave her. As time passed, she grasped my goodness and felt remorseful. I was sure that my goodness would certainly change her.

The whole incident taught me to believe that we are surrounded by people with good and bad personality traits, and it depends on us how we deal with them and change them by our sweet and affectionate way. I call it the power of positivity.
