MUZAFFARGARH: Muzaffargarh police on Sunday registered a case against a man for calling police emergency (15), claiming that a family had arrived at Alipur from Iran carrying coronavirus.

On Saturday night, when the family reached home after Ziyarat in Iran, the man, identified as Muhammad Tariq, called 15, suspecting that the family had contracted coronavirus.

When the police reached there, the family members told the police that their testing for coronavirus had been done by the doctors at the border and none of them was carrying the virus.

The family was sent to hospital and it was allowed to go home after the doctors gave it clearance.
