CHITRAL: Eighteen persons sustained minor injuries when a passenger coach coming from Peshawar to Chitral crashed into a roadside restaurant in Broze village near Chitral town here on Sunday morning.

A police official told Dawn that the restaurant was closed due to holiday, thus there was no casualty. The official said the driver lost control over the vehicle due to speeding.

The Rescue 1122 personnel shifted the injured to the district headquarters hospital. Later, over half of the injured were discharged and the condition of the rest was stated to be out of danger.

The police arrested the bus driver, Mujeebur Rahman, a resident of Warijun Mulkhow, after registering a case against him.
