SWABI: A man killed his brother over petty domestic issue in Shewowand village of Razaar tehsil here on Monday, police said.

Hamad Ali told police that his two brothers developed differences over some petty domestic issues.

He said that during exchange of hot words, Inayat Khan picked an axe and attacked Said Nawab Khan in their presence, killing him on the spot.

He said that Inayat managed to escape after the incident.

Sources said that the suspect had also killed his mother and father about six years ago.

Meanwhile, Abadullah, a resident of Tordher village, was allegedly killed by his brother-in-law on Monday.

Registering an FIR in injured position, he told police that he was on way home when his brother-in-law Khalid Khan opened fire on him. As result, he was injured and was taken to Bacha Khan Hospital Complex, Shahmansoor.

Due to his serious condition, he was referred to Lady Ready Hospital, Peshawar. However, he succumbed to his injuries on Islamabad-Peshawar Motorway.

Also, police claimed to have recovered 14 kilograms of charas in a crackdown in the district on Monday.

DPO Imran Shahid told journalists police recovered 4,220 gram of charas from Asif Shah, a resident s of a tribal district.

He said that 4,210 grams of charas were recovered from Younas Khan, who was arrested in Chota Lahor.

Police recovered 3,160 grams of charas and nabbed Zeeshan Khan of Zaida village while 945 grams of were recovered from Sajjad Khan of Kalu Khan area.

The DPO said that Yousaf Shah was arrested in Gadoon and 1,125 grams of charas were recovered from him while 1,153 grams of charas were recovered from Mohammad Talha of Kalabat region.

Police also recovered 35 litres of wine and 50 grams ice drug.

Meanwhile, a house in Utla area was looted at night when the owner was not present.

Said Mahroof told police that they were not present in house when thieves stole five-tola gold ornaments, two mobile phone sets, a shotgun and various other valuables.
