PML-N demands Shehbaz Sharif's return from London

The PML-N leadership on Tuesday demanded the return of party president and Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif from London, where he has been since November 2019.
The demand was made by Mohsin Shahnawaz Ranjha during a meeting of PML-N's parliamentary party and was backed by the leadership. Shehbaz had left for London last year, along with PML-N supremo and his older brother Nawaz Sharif, who was seeking medical treatment.
In the meeting today, Senator Pir Sabir Shah complained that the party had "suffered damage by putting behind the stance of the supremo (Nawaz Sharif)".
He said that PML-N should have "taken advantage of PTI's poor performance", adding that the party's performance in the parliament had disappointed the people. He went on to warn that if the party did not stick to Nawaz's stance, it would lose the support of the masses.
Shah criticised that only leaders from Punjab were included in PML-N's decision-making. He demanded that the party should give representation to leaders from provinces other than Punjab in its decision-making process "even if it is only symbolic".
PML-N leader Javed Latif also spoke during the meeting and said that the party leadership should consult more members before making decisions. He insisted that the party should take practical steps as "targets cannot be achieved by talking". He urged the party leadership to "move forward and prepare the party for protest".
Latif also predicted that the party will have to face tough criticism as it had "made a mistake which would be realised in times to come". He did not specify the "mistake" he was referring to.
PML-N condemns govt policies
In a press release regarding the issues discussed during the meeting, PML-N criticised the government policies, saying that the alarming loss at the Pakistan Stock Exchange in one day was a first in history and "sounded an alarm for economic disaster".
The party also condemned the attack on Nawaz's physician Dr Adnan Khan and hoped that London police will provide justice. The party agreed that Nawaz should stay in London until he gets better.
The press statement, however, made no mention of the leadership's demand that Shehbaz should return to Pakistan.

Abbasi should take the charge and retired both old PMLN leaders and as that is the time for strong opposition and Nawaz brothers will not going to do so due to deal with "others".

Elementary, my dear Watson! when world stock markets were stable, KSE was going up due to confidence in PTI, now global stocks going down, so is KSE as per trend, not due to PTI.

If Pakistan did not have any luck demanding the return of looted wealth stashed abroad - mainly the heaven for theives, thugs, drug lords, maifa and oligarchs, UK) than demanding the return of those who looted the country is not likely to garner much result.
It has been proven by the Brits that they will welcome anyone, who can bring in millions or billions - no matter the source or methods used to accumulate the wealth - and they will be provided heaven in the country and handed British passports as a reward. Even if they had killed, robbed women and children, orphans and widows or bankrupted their native lands!

Yes they r right. SS must return or resign n hand over all affairs to Khaqan Abbasi. He is responsible for not stopping n putting in Imrsn in jail in1914. Spl Audit of local govt conducted n millions misappropriation unearthed but no action SS taken.

@Ibrahim S, Shahbaz Sharif has pending corruption cases against him, he has no choice but to return to Pakistan, but the issue is, Nawaz is milking the sickness, so Shahbaz has to stay there and hold his hand, and Mariam Nawaz is not allowed to leave the country, and that's the excuse Shahbaz is using.

@Khan Kashkol, Dow Jones lost over 100 billion along with Australian stock exchange. All this wipes in one day alone with no recovery. It is usually the current governments economic practices that recover the markets after losses. PSE has some recovery which ensures investor trust to some degree.

No. If London makes him feel better why doesn't he move there permanently and leave the People of Pakistan alone. Pakistan has suffered immensely due to his leadership. @Captain , "PML N has no interest in Pakistan but in themselves" So they work harder to convince people to elect them compared to those who are not interested in themselves. A person with personal interest is more likely to say what people want to hear and persist in saying that. On the other hand, a true leader will go against what people want to hear. People are more likely to elect leaders with personal agenda. It is highly unlikely that a strong leader can emerge from a election process. You need to choose between democracy and leadership, you can't have both.
