PIACL board gets new chairman

RAWALPINDI: The government on Tuesday appointed Aslam R. Khan as the new chairman of Pakistan International Airline Corporation Limited board on Tuesday.

The decision for the appointment of the new chairman was taken at a cabinet meeting held at the Prime Minister House. The meeting was presided over by Prime Minister Imran Khan.

According to notification, Aslam Khan had been appointed as the chairman of the PIACL board with effect from March 9. It said the TRE (Trading Rights Entitlement) Certificate holders of the Exchange may be informed about the appointment of the new chairman of the PIACL board.

The Supreme Court last week had adjourned the hearing of a case about the appointment of Air Marshal Arshad Malik as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) till March 11.
