Five pilgrims killed as bus overturns

KHUZDAR: Five pilgrims of a family were killed and 24 others injured when a bus overturned near Shah Noorani crossing area of the Lasbela district on Sunday.

According to police, the bus, carrying over 30 pilgrims, was going to Shah Noorani from Karachi. When it reached the hilly area of Shah Noorani crossing, it overturned while taking a sharp turn.

The bus overturning left five people dead on the spot and 24 others were injured. Police and rescue workers rushed to the area soon after receiving the information about the accident and took bodies and the injured pilgrims to Jam Ghulam Qadir Hospital, Hub.

Later, the seriously injured people were taken to Karachi for treatment.
