LAHORE: A full court reference held on Wednesday in the honour of Lahore High Court outgoing Chief Justice Mamoon Rashid Sheikh was attended by judges and lawyers.

Justice Sheikh was elevated to the LHC on Feb 19, 2010 and took oath as 49th chief justice of the LHC on Jan 1, 2020. He reached superannuation on March 18.

At the reference, judges and the bar leaders paid tribute to Justice Sheikh for his services to the institution.

Justice Muhammad Qasim Khan will take oath as 50th chief justice of the LHC on Thursday (today) at a ceremony to be held at the Governor House.

Justice Khan will serve as the chief justice till his superannuation on July 5, 2021.
