Despite the Punjab government imposing Section 144 on March 15 for three weeks across the province, a large number of supporters gathered outside Camp Jail in Lahore to greet PML-N stalwart Khawaja Saad Rafique upon being released.

Section 144 prohibits public gatherings of five or more people, processions, rallies in any public place within the limits of the area where the law has been imposed.

The Supreme Court on Tuesday granted bail to the former railways minister and his brother Khawaja Salman Rafique in the Paragon City corruption case.
