KOHAT: A woman and her daughter were killed while her husband and another daughter were injured when roof a house collapsed in Ghamkol Afghan refugee camp No 1 here in the wee hours on Saturday.

Rescue 1122 officials, who were called to the camp after the incident, pulled out the bodies from the rubble. The victims were identified as Hassan Bibi and her daughter, Hatma Bibi.

The injured Syed Nawaz, the house owner, and his daughter, Habiba Bibi, were shifted to hospital after being given first aid on the spot.

The locals said that the house had been weakened due to the recent spell of rains.

It was the second incident of its nature. A few days ago, the roof of a house had collapsed in the city, killing a couple and injuring their five children. The house had worn out due to rains.
