Fomer Senate chairman Raza Rabbani has said that the Council of Common Interests (CCI) should meet every week for as long as Parliament is unable to meet amid the coronavirus situation in the country.

A statement issued by Rabbani says that the federal government has approached international organisations for funds to combat the coronavirus in Pakistan and the CCI should meet weekly so that "details pertaining to the agreements, disbursement of the monies, material and equipment be placed before it for approval".
