MARDAN: The teaching staff of Abdul Wali Khan University, Mardan, has started online classes for its students so they could continue the learning process while sitting at their homes in view of the ongoing coronavirus threat.

The relevant officials said here on Thursday that the administration of Abdul Wali Khan University, Mardan, had directed its faculty to start online classes from March 26 so as to save their precious time.

They said that the decision was made owing to unscheduled and unplanned holidays of university students due to coronavirus outbreak in the country.

They claimed that online classes would help students to continue their studies without break, adding that a notification had already been issued by registrar of the university.

“Classes will be monitored by the respective deans of the faculties and directorate of admissions of the university,” they said, adding that online system was tested by various departments before launching the classes.
