PESHAWAR: The Provincial Disaster Management Authority has dispatched 5,000 personal protective kits to the district administrations and the departments fighting on the frontline against Covid-19 in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

PDMA director general Parwaiz Khan said the kits included full body suits, masks, surgical caps, gloves, goggles and other lifesaving equipment.

He said about 10,000 more kits would be provided to the departments soon, while 750 litres of sanitiser and other relief items had already been dispatched to the district administrations for establishment of quarantine camps in their respective districts.

He said PDMA’s provincial emergency operation centre was active round the clock with dedicated staff from PDMA, Rescue 1122 and doctors continuously guiding the people. He said PDMA could be contacted on toll-free numbers: 1700 & 0800-01700.
