HARIPUR: A man was shot dead over unknown reasons near Pind Gujran here, police and witnesses said on Saturday.
According to Hattar police, Tariq Mehmood of Rani Wah village was on way home carrying a bundle of firewood on his head when Aurangzeb of Hattar village fired at him with a pistol, injuring him critically.
The injured was shifted to the Haripur Trauma Centre where he succumbed.
The Hattar police claimed to have arrested the suspected killer. The motive behind the killing could not be ascertained.
