RAWALPINDI: Two police officials have been suspended after a videowent viral on social media, showing them subjecting some people to corporal punishment publicly in Kalar Syedan for violatingsection 144.

A police spokesman said violators had been shifted to the police station after police intercepted them in Kalar Syedan. They were allowed to leave after being warned, however, as they were walking out of the station, they were subjected to corporal punishment as the two officials made them do sit ups.

City Police Officer Mohammad Ahsan Younas, ordered suspensionof Traffic Warden Bilal and Constable Hassan.
