BARBERS SUFFER: The prolonged lockdown enforced to contain the spread of coronavirus has badly hit barbers who have no other source of earning to meet the needs of their families.

In a chat with this scribe on Saturday, they said they would have to pay the rent of their shops and fulfil the needs of their families, but they were facing increasing financial crunch as they had been confined to their houses.

Mohammad Asim, who owns a barbershop in Topi, said the lockdown was announced on March 26 and still there was no indication the markets would reopen anytime soon.
