Covid-19 cases shoot up as 73 more test positive in Khairpur alone

SHIKARPUR: As many as six children playing beside a wall died and six others were seriously injured when it collapsed on them in Abdul Latif Bhayo village near the small town of Jagan, some 35 kilometres from here, on Friday.

Three of the victims, Mohammad Siddique, 2, Sabir Ali, 1, and Mohammad Tahir, 4, had already died when they were taken out from under the debris by villagers. Others were rushed to the Shikarpur Civil Hospital but two siblings, Komal, 3, and Yasir, 4, as well as their cousin, Sarwar, 4, succumbed to their injuries while they were being transported to the Sukkur Civil Hospital due to their critical condition.

Four other victims, Rehan, Farhana, Shabana and Sardar, were admitted to the Shikarpur hospital for treatment.
