SANGHAR: Armed men shot dead a man and wounded his son in an attack on their house in Mohammed Khan Channar village within the limits of the Jhol police station on Saturday. In retaliatory fire, two of the attackers were also wounded.

The police said that the victims and assailants were embroiled in a land dispute which led to an armed clash on Saturday. They identified the deceased as Barcho Channar and his wounded son as Aslam, who was referred to a major hospital in Nawabshah for treatment.

They said a hunt for the attackers, belonging to the Hingora clan, was under way, adding that three suspects were picked up for interrogation.
