DADU: A heavy spell of rain lashed different parts of Dadu district after sunset on Sunday.The areas which received rain included Jhallo, Moundar, Pipri, Khudabad, Chhandan, Bahawalpur, Kakar, Shaheed Makhdoom Bilawal, Khanpur, Gozo, Fareedabad, Radhan, Tharari Mohabbat and Nau Goth.
Reports from the areas suggested that the rain caused damage to the standing wheat crop as well as the piles of grain lying under the open sky due to delayed commencement of wheat procurement process.
