KARACHI: A 25-year-old woman was murdered allegedly by her husband in Gulshan-i-Maymar on Sunday, said police.

Maida Gul was strangled in her home in Afghan Camp, said area SHO Shahid Husain.

The Afghan woman was mother of three children. The suspect, Bashir, escaped from the crime scene.

The officer said some domestic dispute could be the reason for the murder.

The body was taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, where doctors confirmed strangling as the cause of death.

Besides, there were injury marks on her head caused by some blunt instrument, said additional police surgeon Dr Saleem Shaikh.
