Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi called Acting Foreign Minister of Afghanistan Hanif Atmar and expressed the hope that Afghanistan can deal with the Covid-19 pandemic effectively.

According to a press release issued by the Foreign Office, the foreign minister apprised Afghanistan's foreign minister of various steps that Pakistan has taken, at the request of Afghan government, to assist in the movement of Afghan nationals and their cargo trucks and containers amid the coronavirus outbreak.

Atmar appreciated steps taken by Pakistan to facilitate the return of Afghan nationals and movement of cargo and trucks, according to the press release.
