PESHAWAR: Peshawar High Court Chief Justice Waqar Ahmad Seth on Monday examined the precautionary measures against the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) at the high court’s principal seat and expressed satisfaction with them.

The chief justice said he expected that the arrangements would prevent the entry of anyone affected by the virus to the premises.

A news release issued here said precautionary measures taken by the high court’s administration include the spraying of disinfectant through mist fans on all visitors, staff members and officers and installation of facilities for the washing of hands with soap and use of hand sanitisers.

It added that the body temperature of every visitor was checked through thermal guns, while the people suffering from flu, cough and fever were shifted to the basic health unit situated on the premises, where the doctors examined them and take necessary action in line with the protocol prescribed for Covid-19 patients.

The release said the administration provided face masks and gloves to all visitors free of charge.

It added that seating arrangements had been made on the high court’s lawns in line with the social distancing principle, while staff members and visitors were asked through a central sound system to follow the Covid-19 precautionary protocols.

The release said the central control room monitored the implementation of those guidelines on the court premises and district judiciary.
