Army Chief Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa has visited the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) where he was briefed about Covid-19 related multi-sectoral situation in the country, implementation of National Coordination Committee decisions, projections about the likely spread of the virus in Pakistan and the support being extended to the civil administration against to fight the pandemic.

Gen Bajwa lauded the "remarkable efforts" of the NCOC for formulating and implementing the country's Covid-19 response despite resource and time constraints, a statement issued by the military's media wing said.

The prime minister's aide on health Dr Zafar Mirza during a media briefing said that Gen Bajwa was given a "comprehensive review" and discussions on equipment including protective gear and ventilators were held.
