SUKKUR: The Sukkur bench of the Sindh High Court on Wednesday announced verdict it had reserved on April 15 rejecting bail application of senior leader of Pakistan Peoples Party Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah and his son MPA Farrukh Shah in a case of amassing assets beyond means.

A double bench comprising Justices Amjad Ali Sahito and Shamsuddin Abbasi denied application of the father and son but allowed bail to 15 other co-accused including Khursheed Shah’s two spouses and Awais Qadir Shah.

Mr Shah and the 15 co-accused face charges of accumulating assets beyond known sources of income amounting to Rs1.340 billion.

Mr Shah, who was admitted to NICVD hospital, was brought to the court in an ambulance amid tight security.
