SIALKOT: Up to 25 Covid-19 cases were reported on Thursday, of them 22 from Sialkot, while Muzaffargarh, Mianwali and Sheikhupura hospitals celebrated the recovery of those who were treated there for the virus-related complications.
The number of confirmed positive coronavirus cases increased to 130 from 108 in Sialkot on Thursday.
Deputy Commissioner Dr Nasir Mehmood Bashir said the fresh cases had already been in quarantine.
JHANG: The total number of Covid-19 cases in Jhang is 38, including 23 pilgrims.
On Thursday, two more people tested positive for the virus taking the number of positive cases to five in the last two days.
MUZAFFARGARH: Up to 101 people admitted to the Indus Hospital for coronavirus complication treatment have been treated and discharged since the establishment of the Covid-19 treatment facility here.
A doctor said 78 positive coronavirus cases were under treatment while three patients were waiting their results.
TOBA TEK SINGH: The seventh Covid-19 case was reported on Thursday. Deputy District Officer Dr Kashif Bajwa said the 33-year-old man, of Chak 372-JB, was shifted to isolation ward of Gojra tehsel headquarters hospital a few days ago.
He returned from Dubai and his report was received on Thursday. He also said test reports of 27 Tableeghi Jamaat members quarantined in Tableeghi Jamaat’s Makki mosque were negative and 18 of them had been allowed to go homes and nine of them who were foreigners had been sent to Raiwind.
MIANWALI: Seven coronavirus cases, out of 20, were discharged from isolation ward of the Mianwali District Headquarters Hospital after they repeatedly tested negative.
The discharged people said they were thankful to the staff for their professional conduct. They will remain isolated from the public for one in their homes.
Dr Rafiqe Khan, district health officer, said the remaining inpatients had once tested negative and they would be discharged after their second negative report.
SHEIKHUPURA: Seventeen people treated for Covid-19 complications were discharged from the local district headquarters hospital on Thursday.
They all were Tableeghi Jamaat activists and pilgrims returned from Iran.
