PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police chief Dr Sanaullah Abbasi on Sunday visited the quarantine centre in Chitral city and inspected the police deployment there. He also presided over a meeting of the district police officers.

The IGP expressed satisfaction over the protective measures adopted by the police as per the government instructions against the Covid-19 and lauded the cops’ zeal to serve the nation in a dedicated manner.

Later, speaking at a meeting of police officers, he said the measures adopted for containing coronavirus were satisfactory and directed the participants to further intensify their efforts for implementation of the government directives against Covid-19, and ensuring foolproof security during Ramazan.

A briefing was given to the IGP about the number of quarantine centres set up in Chitral, the police deployment as well as the steps taken for maintenance of law and order.

The IGP also distributed cash and commendation certificates among the police personnel.
