LAHORE: PML-N MNA Mian Javed Latif on Monday appeared before the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and recorded his statement in the assets beyond means case.

A combined investigation team of NAB quizzed him for 40 minutes or so for possessing assets beyond his known sources of income.

Talking to reporters after his appearance before NAB, Mr Latif said Prime Minister Imran Khan and his adviser Shahzad Akbar had decided to arrest “four more people”.

When asked who were the four people, he said: “They are Shahbaz Sharif, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Rana Sanaullah and Javed Latif.”

He said if the PTI government did not get satisfied it would go for the arrest of Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz and Maulana Fazlur Rehman.

He said the NAB and Anti-Corruption Establishment earlier had already given him a clean chit. He said it seemed he needed to have a clean chit from Banigala.

Replying to another question, he said the politics of Railways Minister Sheikh Rashid had ‘expired’ and the PTI government had completely failed on all fronts.

Mr Latif and his brothers had earlier appeared before the NAB and responded to its queries, denying corruption allegations.

An MNA from Sheikhupura district, Latif faces charges of making assets in the name of his family members after coming into politics.
