ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Tuesday asked taxpayers to update income tax returns for receiving of refunds in bank accounts.
An official statement of the FBR said that bank details are mandatory for a centralised system of online payment of sales tax, federal excise duty (FED) and income tax refunds directly in the bank account of taxpayers.
The FBR also asked exporters to update their WeBOC profile and provide IBAN of the same bank account whose details are already available in the profile.

Our FBR is the best in world, internal revenue system. No doubt
it going to improve further with time & experiences. Now it’s the time for budgetary proposals. FBR must collect data of big lands & properties from land revenue departments, the residential plots of 2000 sq yds, or more, to begin with should be given a LIN # ( Land identification number) and for ever keep an eye on it, no matter how many hands it got changed. Similiarly for all expensive SUVs, New Mercedes, Land Cruisers, a VIN # (Vehicle Indentification number) will help trace the stolen vehicle, but also the owner will be on radar,
FBR should grab the big alligators, and leave the middle class, which is already paying enough indirect taxes. Details about richies may also
be gathered from Private Guard Cos, the list of their clientage be obtain, and FBR must ascertain about their wealth, obviously if an elite is paying Rs 200,000 per month for safety, his worth can be checked accordingly, FBR hope understands .

Is their any benefit the govt has proposed for the employee working in white collar jobs.
Still yet all benefits offered / proposed are for the businessman and industrialist.
The middle class is still looking : No income reduction. layoff as it is. Rent as its ,
The government manager should wake up and come forward with some relief.

Good to hear from FBR. I thought FBR is sleeping. No activity against tax evaders, increasing revenues. Life goes on. Expenses don't stop. Similarly efforts to raise income to continue. Who is stopping FBR to drive against tax evaders/ non filers/ up dating and.improving resources. If you are honest with your job and want to work then don't take pause in your work.

Nobody believes honesty in fbr. Just go to their office and ask for a tax return form. I bet, if you could get it.

FBR policies are designed to extract maximum tax revenues for Karachi. When the city's population is just under 10%, then why is it made to pay 90% (including Income Tax, Sales Tax, Customs Duties, Surcharges, etc.) ?
