Man arrested for ‘sexually assaulting’ niece

TAXILA: A man has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting his niece while two people including a minor were killed in separate incidents in Attock and Taxila on Wednesday.

A woman in Mohallah Sadiqabad told the Fatehjang police that she was sexually assaulted by her uncle at his house, where she had been staying since she was beaten and expelled from her husband’s house. She said she was assaulted twice.

The police registered a case after a medical examination of the victim and arrested the suspect.

Separately, a 17-year-old boy identified as Fiazyan was killed in a road accident when his speeding motorcycle collided with a roadside wall, rescue and police sources said.

The deceased lost control of the motorcycle near Chowngi No.3, and died immediately. His body was taken to the District Headquarters Hospital by Rescue 1122.

A 20-year-old man was shot and killed in Pind Gondal area in the limits of the Taxila police station. Police said Mohammad Mehrab had stepped outside to take a phone call, and his body was later found.
