LAHORE: A man received minor injuries when a gas cylinder exploded in Samanabad here on Wednesday.

A police official said Imtiaz, 40, was taken to a hospital where his condition was stated to be stable.

A cylinder exploded in the kitchen of a rented house where Imtiaz lived with his family. The blast was so powerful that the wall of the house collapsed and Imtiaz was trapped under the debris.

No other family member was present and the cause of the incident was said to be gas leakage.

Rescue 1122 teams reached the site, rescued an injured Imtiaz and shifted him to the hospital.
