Once upon a time, there was a boy named John. He already had a pet dog and decided to get a kitten too. He thought that they were going to be great friends and keep each other good company.

Once the kitten came, John was so happy that he started jumping up and down like crazy. The next day, John went to school leaving both the pets at home. The kitten wanted to befriend with the dog, but every time it came near, the dog pushed the kitten. Several weeks passed and the dog still refused to play or be friends with the kitten.

One day the dog was tired of the kitten trying get friendly, so he fought with the kitten. When John heard the cry of the kitten, he rushed to see what was happening. He was shocked to see the kitten so scared and in pain. John was so angry that he kicked the dog out of the house.

The kitten felt lonely without the dog. So that night the kitten left the house to search for the dog. In the morning when John found out that the kitten was gone, he was very dismayed. He started to print posters of his lost kitten, even offering a reward to anyone who found and brought it back. He then put it up around the neighbourhood.

However, the kitten was nowhere near the neighbourhood. The kitten reached a farmland where there was no sign of the dog, but the kitten continued to move around and got more scared with each passing minute.

John regretted kicking the dog out and would go around the neighbourhood in the hope of finding both his pets. One day when he was out, he suddenly heard the sound “Woof! Woof!”

It was John’s dog. John was so happy that his dog was back and quickly took him home. But back home John started to sob again, because he was missing his kitten. The dog too roamed around the house looking for the kitten, but could not find it. Finally, the dog began to sniff the kitten’s scent and stopped in front of the main door and started barking, as if he wanted to go out.

John understood that his dog wanted to be let outside and so he opened the door. The dog started to sniff the trail of the kitten and John followed him. Eventually the dog turned towards a farmhouse and John followed him large farmland. They finally found the kitten near a pond, but the kitten was in a very bad shape. It seemed to have been injured.

Both the pets were delighted to see each other and the dog ran towards the kitten excitedly. It started barking and licking the kitten happily. John too was delighted to see his lost pet and there was a very loving reunion of the three.

John now picked up the kitten in his arms and they returned home happily. From then onwards, the two pets played happily with each other and John too was more loving towards them as he had realised how special they both were to him.
