Selena Gomez launching make-up line

Selena Gomez says her make-up line, ‘Rare Beauty’, is meant to be “clean and easy” for consumers. The 27-year-old singer and actress shared details about the forthcoming collection in an interview.

Gomez said she created Rare Beauty because she wanted to “start a conversation about how you can make yourself feel great.”

“It’s not necessarily about needing these things to make yourself feel beautiful. People of my generation have all this pressure to look a certain way, and I wanted to make a line that took away a bit of that pressure,” the star said.

Friends’ cast records 90-minute special

The cast of Friends have reportedly recorded a 90-minute special. An unscripted reunion special of the hit sitcom was originally set to be filmed in March, before it had to be postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic — but Courteney Cox and director Ben Winston recently filmed a ‘mock rehearsal’ of the show, with the ambition of releasing it before the reunion airs.

All of the show’s original cast — including Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer — have agreed to appear in the reunion special.

However, TV bosses still need to set a new date to air the show amid the ongoing pandemic.

J.K. Rowling buys childhood home that inspired HP

J.K. Rowling has bought her childhood home — the one which helped inspire various elements of much-beloved Harry Potter franchise — in the small village of Tutshill, in southwest England.

The novelist actually bought the property, called ‘Church Cottage,’ nine years ago, under her husband’s name (Neil Murray), according to the BBC.

It was originally purchased from the Rowling family back in 1995. Between the ages of nine and 18, the 54-year-old author resided in the Gloucestershire county home with her parents, Anne and Peter, and her sister Dianne, before she moved away to Paris, France, for post-secondary education.

Much like in the Harry Potter books, Church Cottage has a small cupboard under its staircase. The house also contains a ‘trap door’ to a cellar which is reminiscent of the one that three-headed dog Fluffy covers in the first Harry Potter instalment, The Philosopher’s Stone (or The Sorcerer’s Stone), according to Gloucestershire Live.
