CHINIOT: Up to 50 people, including one doctor each in Sailkot and Chiniot, tested positive for Covid-19.

The administration has sealed Daska city and localities in Sialkot city and Layyah district too.

In Chiniot, three people, including a doctor, tested positive for Covid-19 while doctor’s hospital has been sealed.

Earlier, a man and his sister, of Mohallah Moazzam Shah, tested positive for the virus. The doctor, who was their family physician and also a medical officer at the private hospital, also tested positive for the virus.

SIALKOT: Eleven people tested positive for the virus in Sialkot.

They included a doctor of the Allama Iqbal Memorial Teaching Hospital and a tehsildar, a naib tehsildar, seven officials of the office of the assistant commissioner and an ASI, all of Daska.

Police blocked entrance/exit points and sealed the Daska city besides halting public movement there.

Also, a coronavirus patient died at the Narowal District Headquarters Hospital.

In Sialkot, the police sealed Sialkot city’s Islamabad locality after 15 positive cases of coronavirus.

SHEIKHUPURA: Three more people tested positive for the virus and were shifted to the isolation ward of local DHQ Hospital.

The first case is an employee of the PTCL department and also the husband of a female doctor posted in local DHQ Hopistal.

The hospital authority quarantined the doctor and her two minor children. The other two cases are a man, 22, and his mother, of Housing Colony.

TOBA TEK SINGHL: An Islamabad police ASI was screened positive for Covid-19. He was on leave in Chak 294-GB.

Also, a Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf city office-bearer, his wife and a younger brother have been infected with Covid-9.

LAYYAH: As 10 members of a family tested positive for Covid-19, the administration sealed the locality of Kotla Haji Shah.

The cases include seven females and three males.

The deputy commissioner said the 10 cases had now been shifted to a quarantine centre at the BZU campus. We are sealing the locality of Kotla Haji Shah. Also, the telephone operator of the Layyah DHQ Hospital tested positive for Covid-19.

SAHIWAL: Eight pilgrims tested positive for Covid-19 at the local quarantine centre.

They were shifted here from Taftan.

Also, a woman was declared a positive Covid-19 case after her death. The health authorities have placed his immediate family members under quarantine.

GUJRAT: Ten more people have tested positive after which the number of infected patients in the district has reached 220.
