PML group in Haripur backs ex-nazim

HARIPUR, Sept 6: An MPA of the ruling PML has announced to support the candidature of Dr Raja Amer Zaman and to work for his success. This was announced at a news conference held at the residence of the MPA, Faisal Zaman, at Ghazi on Monday evening.

Briefing newsmen on behalf of MPA Faisal Zaman, former union nazim Qamar Zaman said that the Jehazon Wala group from Ghazi has in principle decided to back the former district nazim Dr Raja Amer Zaman as candidate for district nazim’s slot against PML-N’s Yusuf Ayub Khan.

He said that since the Rajgans of Khanpur had served the people of Haripur for a long time in one capacity or the other and got uplift schemes worth millions approved, their good track record regarding political as well as moral integrity made the MPA Faisal Zaman of Jehazon Wala group to support Raja Amer Zaman.

They also announced the name of Zubair Hayat as their candidate for the seat of Tehsil nazim Ghazi.
